The health, safety, welfare & well-being of our people is of paramount importance to us and is critical to our ability to conduct our business. We continually monitor our safety progress to ensure that our processes are working as effectively as possible. All employees are expected to uphold a zero tolerance of any practices that could result in accidents and ill health, and therefore, contribute to ensuring a safe working environment by taking the necessary measures and following the correct practices.
R&R Fire & Security Ltd embraces the requirements of the CDM Regulations 2015 in its role as a Principle Contractor, and Approved Sub-Contractor for projects that attract the Regulations.
Safety Leadership
At R&R Fire & Security Ltd employee safety is of utmost importance. We are committed to identifying and reducing any safety risks associated with our operations by, improving how we reinforce safe behaviours with our employees, and strengthening the accountability of management for ensuring those same behaviours.
R&R’s in-house Health & Safety Manager, along with his team of advisors, are responsible for the following:
H&S Training to all employees
Production of site-specific Risk Assessments & Method Statements
Site-based H&S Audits
Maintaining an up-to-date policy database
Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
Prepare health & safety strategies and develop internal policy
Lead in-house training with managers & employees about health & safety issues and risks
Keep up-to-date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer’s industry
Produce management reports, newsletters & bulletins
Ensure equipment is installed safely
Manage & organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances, e.g. Asbestos
Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding plant & machinery, and occupational diseases.
